Our Story

Pieces Peaces is NARR accredited and a member of the MCRSP Missouri Coalition Recovery Support Providers for over 5 years. 

We actively provide the following services to individuals in the Kansas City Metro community seeking treatment from substance use and more: 

• Sober Transitional Living Housing 
• 8 current homes  
• 4 homes for women  
• 4 homes for men  
• Legal  Aid Guidance 
• Food – Active partnership with Harvesters 
• Job Search and Workforce Development with The GIG Alliance Corp Counseling 
• Active partnership with ReDiscover and Academy of Addiction 
• Ground Team to reach individuals “where they are at” for awareness of support  resources 
• Active partnership with NoMoDeath – Narcan provider 

These partnerships have allowed Pieces Peaces to assist over 600 individuals in our five years of operation. Out of those 600 only two of them have overdosed. Only 8 of them have re-entered the program after relapse. 

The services of Pieces Peaces have reunified over 40 women back with their children after having them removed from their homes by the court systems. Three women have become Certified Peer Specialists and are now employed at Journey to New Life (a transitional re-entry program) in Kansas City. One woman has become a current substance abuse counselor, and former resident Melvin Minefee has become a Master Plumber and advocate for addiction recovery. 

The current goal is to reach over 2,000 individuals in the next year. Your donations will allow us to do that and more.
